Customised programmes for specific companies:
Customised programmes help you develop
your potential systematically.

It often takes more than one course or training programme to develop your employees’ potential on a sustainable basis. Customized programmes for specific firms help enhance competencies in different areas or to promote specific target groups in the longer term. For example, Coverdale develops and supports national and international programmes for trainees, junior managers and executive management. We also train project managers, facilitators, coaches and process consultants for individual firms using multi-modular programmes.

EXAMPLE: MANAGEMENT STAFF DEVELOPMENT

You want to develop management skills in your company systematically, promote the development of junior managers and/or give experienced managers an opportunity for reflection and learning? Coverdale offers modular programmes especially for managers, with modules designed to meet your company’s specific needs ensuring your continued success.

Working closely with you, we determine what you expect of management in your company in order to ensure that they lead the company to success in future. We help you develop compency profiles, conduct selection or promotion assessment centres as needed and design a programme that meets your requirements contributing to the optimum development of management competencies.

We provide advice and guidance in concept development, planning, implementation and communication for national also international training and education programmes. Most of these programmes run for one to three years and comprise of between two to eight modules.

In our junior management training programmes, participants assume management duties for projects in your company, thus ensuring that training is closely related to actual practice. Review days are conducted for the purpose of verifying and reinforcing the application of acquired knowledge and skills at a practical level. Supplementary coaching during the first few months after assumption of management responsibility rounds off the professional training programme for junior managers.

Experienced managers also benefit from our programmes. Management is a dynamic process that is subject to continuous change. Constant changes affecting day-to-day work demand a high degree of flexibility. Thus personal development is an important aspect of the professional manager’s work to master this. We actively involve participants in the process of developing the concepts for our programmes for management staff in order to ensure that current issues in everyday management are included. We offer participants ample opportunity for dialogue, reflection, critical assessment of their own management styles, encouraging further development and more personal responsibility and skill for their own learning.

Possible module topics for junior and senior manager training programmes:

- Managing with self-confidence
- Managing in difficult situations

EXAMPLE: PROGRAMME FOR SPECIALISTS

A federal ministry in Austria wants to train specialists to meet future requirements. The goal is increased project orientation – and thus greater customer orientation.

Following a thorough analysis of needs and requirements, the most important training contents are defined in consultation with Coverdale, and a plan is drafted for an 11-day programme.

Contents:

“Systematic, goal-oriented co-operation within teams”, “basic principles of work in projects and similar situations”, objective negotiation”. A half-day consultation devoted to application in the workplace follows each training module.

The advantage of the programme:

Participants are much more efficient as a learning group because

- the first phase of group-building supports the entire programme;
- motivation is higher once a basis of trust in the group has been established;
- participants can help each other apply new skills and knowledge in day-to-day work;
- the trainer can provide participants with personal guidance in the various modules.
