Our company is named after Ralph Coverdale (1919 – 1975).
In the early 1950s, the English manager and industrial psychologist
recognized that management executives and project teams are often
insufficiently equipped to cope with corporate change processes.

In collaboration with a professor of psychology at Oxford University, he
developed the “Coverdale Method” as a means of preparing people for
innovation and changing goals with new knowledge and skills. Ralph
Coverdale is regarded today as a pioneer in the field of "learning by
doing".

Following the first series of management training courses at the Steel
Company of Wales, Ralph Coverdale conducted numerous seminars at
ESSO. He founded “The Coverdale Organisation Ltd.” (TCO) in London in
1965.

The “Coverdale Method” was soon in widespread use – and its application
at the WORLD BANK, UNESCO, the FAO, etc. attracted broad international
attention. Consequently, Coverdale companies were founded in a number
of different countries, including:

> Coverdale Germany in 1980 by Dr. Jan-Bodo Sperling
> Coverdale Austria in 1989 by Hans-Ullrich Dietzel
> Coverdale Switzerland in 1992 by Werner Schneiter
